Second seeds too strong for Ruben and Kimmer in Antwerp

Ruben (ATP D-215) and Kimmer Coppejans (ATP D-315) were unable to stunt at the European Open in Antwerp (Belgium, ATP 250). They had to surrender to the second seeds.

The French second seeds Nicolas Mahut (ATP D-5) and Fabrice Martin (ATP D-34) got off to a quick start. They immediately went through Coppejans' serve and went up 0-3. The Belgian pair was unable to close the gap and lost the first set 3-6.

Also in the second set Ruben and Kimmer were quickly a break behind. With the support of the Belgian audience, our compatriots showed some good points, but they did not manage to force a break. Ruben again lost his service game and Mahut and Martin finished the match on their own service: 2-6. The Belgian pair had to leave the Lotto Arena after 55 minutes.
