Ruben (ATP-188) has reached the second qualifying round at Wimbledon. In his first match he beat Amir Weintraub (ATP-205) from Israel in two sets.
Ruben and Weintraub faced each other twice before, in 2013 Ruben lost in the Davis Cup but a year later Weintraub had to reture during the Wimbledon qualifications. Also this year Ruben was too strong for the Israeli, he won 6-3 6-2 in 52 minutes.
In the next qualifying round he will face Adrian Menendez-Maceiras (ATP-218) from Spain. They each won one of their previous encounters. If Ruben wins three qualifying matches, he reaches the main draw just like last year.
