Ruben (ATP-152) has reached the second round of the Challenger tournament of Kyoto in Japan. The Belgian defeated Australian Blake Mott (ATP-299) in two sets.
Ruben and Mott had a thrilling encounter in Kyoto. The Belgian got seventeen break points during the match, but managed to convert only three of them. After 1 hour and 17 minutes Ruben won the match 6-4 and 6-4. In the second round he will face Yosuke Watanuki (ATP-587), who defeated Joris De Loore (ATP-200).
Ruben (ATP D-323) and Joris (ATP D-531) also play doubles later on Tuesday, they face Kibi Yuya (ATP D-622) and Chu-Huan Yi (ATP D-109).
