Ruben (ATP-232) has reached the final of the challenger tournament of Cherbourg (France, CH 100). He knocked out the third seed in three sets.
Ruben faced third seed Arthur Rinderknech (ATP-138) in the semifinal. The Belgian won the first set with 6-3, but the Frenchman leveled with 3-6. In an exciting third set Ruben took the lead 7-5. The match lasted 1 hour and 41 minutes.
In the final the Czech Lukas Rosol (ATP-198), who was too strong for the Frenchman Hugo Gaston (ATP-168) with 7-5, 2-6 and 6-3, awaits. In Cherbourg Ruben can grab his first challenger title since 2017, when he was the best in Koblenz.
