Ruben moves on in Vancouver

Ruben (ATP-100) has reached the second round of the challenger tournament of Vancouver in Canada. He beat a home player in two sets.

Ruben, seeded seventh, had to face Canadian Philip Bester (ATP-580) in the first round. The first set was decided in the tiebreak, in which the Belgian was too strong 7-6(6). In the second set one break was enough for Ruben to get the set 6-4. The match lasted 1 hour and 31 minutes. In the second round he will face Italian Stefano Napolitano (ATP-203).

In the doubles, Ruben (ATP D-270) and Alex Bolt (ATP D-111) will face Benjamin Bonzi (ATP D-257) and Quentin Halys (ATP D-156) in the first round.
