Ruben living up to expectations in Westende

Ruben (ATP-177) marched into the semifinals in singles and into the final in doubles at the Resing Stars tennis tournament in Westende, Belgium (Future; $ 10 000).

In singles, Ruben, the first seed, faced the French seventh seed Ronan Joncour (ATP-864). In his first twee rounds, Ruben hadn't lost a single set. That didn't change in the quarterfinal in which he defeated Joncour in straights: 6-4 and 7-5. In the semifinals he will be challenged by compatriot Michael Geerts (ATP-465), the fourth seed.

Ruben (ATP D-193) also keeps on winning in doubles. Together with his partner, the Belgian Yannick Mertens (ATP D-500), he wasn't troubled in the semifinals by the Australian fourth seeds. After a simple 6-2 and 6-2 Ruben and Mertens ensured a spot in the final in which they will face the third seeds, Americans Hunter (ATP D-1 103) and James Johnson (ATP D-1 103).
