Ruben (ATP-119) won his third qualifying match at the Australian Open. He defeated the South Korean Duckhee Lee (ATP-216) in two sets.
Ruben celebrated his 30th birthday in Melbourne on Sunday. He gave himself a very nice birthday present: a ticket for the main draw of the Australian Open. The Belgian quickly took the lead in the first set against Lee, and took the set 6-4.
Another image in the second set, Ruben was immediately broken but he managed to erase the early break. A little later he went through his opponent's serve and on his own serve he converted his first match point: 6-4.
It is Ruben's third thim on the main draw of the Australian Open. In the first round, he will face Frenchman Lucas Pouille (ATP-18) awaits. The match is scheduled fourth on Court 7 on Monday.
