Ruben cannot lead Belgium to Davis Cup Finals

Ruben (ATP-222) was not able to win the decisive duel in the Davis Cup encounter with Hungary. Earlier, he gave Belgium the first point with a great victory against the Hungarian number one.

On the first day, Ruben had to face Attila Balazs (ATP-76). He lost the first set 5-7, but then got a great 7-6 (4) and 6-4 victory.

In the fifth and decisive match, Ruben narrowly lost against Marton Fucsovics (ATP-84). Both players fought for their country, but in the end the Hungarian was too strong with 7-6 (7), 4-6 and 2-6.

Belgium lost the encounter against Hungary with 2-3 and will play the play-offs of World Group I in september.
