Ruben (ATP D-323) and Joris De Loore (ATP D-531) caused an upset at the challenger tournament of Kyoto. They defeated the fourth seeds and reaches the semis.
In the quarterfinal the Belgian pair faced Australian fourth seeds Steven De Waard (ATP D-163) and Andrew Whittington (ATP D-78). The opening set went to Ruben and Joris 6-2, but the Australian pair came back and took the second set 3-6. In the supertiebreak, Ruben and Joris got the victory 10-8.
In the semifinals there will be a clash with second seeds Marc Polmans (ATP D-76) and Luke Saville (ATP D-130).
