Ruben and Joris De Loore bring Belgium into Davis Cup World Group

Ruben (ATP D-207) and Joris De Loore (ATP D-462) booked a great victory against Marcelo Melo (ATP D-3) and Bruno Soares (ATP D-5). They gave Belgium a 3-0 lead and a ticket for the World Group of the Davis Cup!

Melo and Soares started the match well and took the first set 3-6. In the second set Ruben and Joris got more acquainted to the circumstances. They served both very strong and scored at the net. In a decisive tiebreak the Belgians showed their best tennis and they triumphed 7-5.

In the third set both teams were evenly matched, but the Brazilians struck at the end and took the set 4-6. In fourth set there was a quick break for the Belgians, they kept their cool and won the set 6-4. The crowd went crazy, started singing "Tous ensemble" and celebrated with a perfect wave.

In the fifth set Ruben and Joris continued to believe in a miracle. They got an early break and after more than three hours Ruben could serve for the match. Belgium got the victory and the party could start in Ostend.

Afterwards Ruben was very excited: "I am really enjoying this. We have served very well! I would also like to thank the public, the fans were great. With Joris I had a great doubles partner and maybe we could be the solid doubles team of Belgium in the future!"
