No title for Ruben in Champaign

Ruben (ATP-190) has failed to capture the title at the Challenger tournament of Champaign in the United States. He lost to the defending champion and second seed Henri Laaksonen (ATP-141).

Two weeks ago, Ruben beat Laaksonen in a thriller in Charlottesville, where he later lost in the final. In Champaign both players were equally matched. Laaksonen won a close first set 7-5 and kept up the momentum in the second set. The Finn won the second set 6-3 and grabbed the title.

Thanks to his place in the final Ruben will make a nice jump of more than 20 places on the ATP-ranking, where he will be ranked around the 167th spot.
