Ruben (ATP-171) has reached the main draw of Wimbledon (Great Britain, Grand Slam) for the seventh time in his career. The Belgian beat American Donald Young (ATP-200) in the decisive qualifying round.
Ruben had to fight hard to reach the deciding qualifying round. 'Bemel' played a very strong match against the American Young in the third qualifying round. The Belgian won the first two sets 6-4 and then he stepped up his level even more. In the third set, Ruben got the advantage with 6-1.
Ruben is on the main draw of Wimbledon for the seventh time. Last year he reached the second round, where he lost to John Isner (ATP-12), after having two match points.
