Ruben beats second seed and is one win away from the final in Kazachstan

Ruben (ATP-225) continues his good run at the challenger tournament of Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan, CH 80). On Saturday he battles for a ticket for the final.

Ruben faced second seed Evgeny Donskoy (ATP-116) in the quarterfinals. The Belgian won the first set with 6-1, but the Russian came alongside with 3-6. In the deciding set, one break was enough for Ruben to grab the set with 6-3. The match lasted 1 hour and 16 minutes. In the semifinals Ruben will face Illya Marchenko (ATP-378).

In the doubles quaterfinal Ruben (ATP D-220) and Zdenek Kolar (ATP D-177) were too strong for the Serbs Viktor Troicki (NG) and Nenad Zimonjic (ATP D-609) with 6-1 and 7-6 (3). In the semis they had to surrender with 3-6, 6-4 and 7-10 against Harri Heliovaara (ATP D-151) and Marchenko (ATP D-527).
