One victory away from Indian Wells main draw

Ruben (ATP-113) has won his first qualifying match at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. If he wins one more time, he is on the main draw.

In the opening round, Ruben had to face 16-year-old Tristan Boyer (NG), a top player in the juniors. The Belgian easily won the first set 6-1, but in set two he had some more trouble. A tiebreak had to make the decision, which went to Ruben with 7-6(3).

In the next round he will face Tim Smyczek (ATP-126), they each won one of their previous encounters.
