No US Open main draw for Ruben

Ruben (ATP-129) failed to qualify for the main draw of the US Open. He went down in three sets in the final qualifying round.

Ruben faced Facundo Bagnis (ATP-150) in the decisive qualifying round. The Argentinian took the first set with 3-6, but Ruben took the tiebreak in set two: 7-6 (2). In the third set, it was again Bagnis, who won the set win 2-6.

Ruben still has a chance to be picked up as a lucky loser. Two lucky losers already got a place on the main draw: Lorenzo Sonego (ATP-117) and Peter Polansky (ATP-120). If there is still one player who withdraws from the US Open, Ruben takes his place on the draw.
