No third round in Glasgow, but an upset in the doubles

Ruben (ATP-198) was unable to win his first single match at the Challenger Tournament of Glasgow (United Kingdom, CH 80). In the doubles, he caused an upset against the third seeds.

As the eighth seed Ruben had a bye in the first round. In the second round he had to face Frenchman Antoine Escoffier (ATP-399).The Belgian lost the first set with 4-6 and was unable to turn the tide afterwards. The second set also went to Escoffier with 4-6. The match lasted 1 hour and 17 minutes.

In the doubles, Ruben (ATP D-243) formed a duo with the German Daniel Masur (ATP D-266). In the first round they were too strong for third seeds Andre Goransson (ATP D-119) and Sem Verbeek (ATP D-129) with 7-6 (2) and 6-4. Their opponents in the quarterfinals are not yet known.
