Early exit in Aptos

Ruben (ATP-190) was seeded sixteenth at the start of the Challenger tournament of Aptos (United States, CH 90). In the singles he lost in the second round, in the doubles the quarterfinals was the final station.

As sixteenth seed Ruben had a bye in the first round. In the second round he faced the American Alexander Sarkissian (ATP-465). The Belgian won the first set with 7-6 (2), but then had to surrender with 1-6 and 2-6.

In the doubles Ruben (ATP D-256) won his first match alongside Swede Robert Lindstedt (ATP D-78), but in the quarterfinals the duo faced a narrow loss with 5-7 and 6-7 (6) against Nathan Pasha (ATP D-143) and Max Schnur (ATP D-530).
