Belgium upsets Germany to reach the quarterfinals of the Davis Cup

The Belgian Davis Cup team has caused a major upset at the Fraport Arena in Frankfurt. Steve Darcis (ATP-58) scored the decisive third point and Ruben (ATP 141) also put the icing on the cake.

Thanks to the glorious victory in the doubles Belgium went with a 2-1 lead into the deciding day. A magical Steve Darcis (ATP-58) caused a major upset by beating the 19-year-old talent Alexander Zverev (ATP-22) 2-6 6-4 6-4 and 7-6(8). In the fifth match Ruben beat Mischa Zverev (ATP-35) 7-5 and 6-1.

Belgium will face the winner of the match between Argentina and Italy in April. If Italy wins, the encounter will be played in Belgium.
